SUBMARINES BUILT AT ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS SHALL TAKE PART IN IMDS-2021

“Saint-Petersburg” and “Krasnodar” submarines built at Admiralty Shipyards (a member of United Shipbuilding Corporation) shall take part in Tenth International Maritime Defense Show 2021.

Project 677 Lada and Project 636, Saint-Petersburg and Krasnodar real submarines shall take a place of honor at the mooring berth of Saint-Petersburg Passenger Port for the event.

Krasnodar submarine built at Admiralty Shipyards for RF Black Sea Fleet was delivered to RF Navy in November 2015. The submarine of modified 636 Project have higher (compared to previous Projects) combat efficiency. Optimal balance of acoustic covertness and target acquisition range, state-of-the-art inertial navigation complex, modern computer aided data management and control system along with powerful fast-response torpedo-missile armament ensure the global leadership of class vessels in non-atomic submarine shipbuilding. Admiralty Shipyards are the absolute leader in mentioned class submarines construction.

“Saint-Petersburg” submarine was delivered to RF Navy in 2010. Project 677 subsurface ships are the fourth generation of non-atomic submarines and at the present time are considered the most advanced and perspective national non-atomic submarines considering both combat efficiency and other performance characteristics. Admiralty Shipyards JSC is the only facility for this class vessels construction.

As of today, six submarines of 636 Project for Pacific Fleet are being constructed at the Shipyard. The Contract for series construction was signed in September 2016. The first vessel, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was submitted to RF Navy on November 25th, 2019. Volkhov submarine, the second in series, has entered the Pacific fleet on October 24th, 2020. The third submarine, Magadan shall be submitted to RF Navy in November, current year. At the present time Ufa, the fourth submarine of Pacific series is under construction. Its launching is planned for the end of 2021.
