ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS ARE AMONG THE BEST MENTORS OF YOUTH

The Admiralty Shipyards are among the best mentors of youth of Saint Petersburg, according to the City Government opinion.

The honorary diploma "Best Mentorship Practice in Saint Petersburg" for the second place in the nomination "Mentorship in Youth’s Professional Development" was handed over to Marina Kulagina, Head of the Admiralty Shipyards Human Resources Department by Aleksey Yakovlev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade.

"The Admiralty Shipyards actively use the institute of mentorship, which is one of the successful tools for personnel training" noted Marina Kulagina. "The task of mentors at the enterprise is not only to convey practical experience, but also to help a young specialist to adapt to a new workplace. A mentor is an experienced employee who has the competencies of a teacher, knows how to build effective business relationships and is involved in the production activities of the enterprise".

Today, the enterprise employs more than 190 mentors, and every year the Shipyards attract more and more experienced and talented employees in this sphere. The mentors are required to supervise students undergoing practical training at the Admiralty Shipyards – in 2023, about 200 children received the practical experience under experienced guidance. In addition, about 230 Admiralty Shipyards employees hired during this year received assistance in adapting and acquiring new skills at new workplaces.
