Under the scope of celebration of Day of Saint-Petersburg industry general director of JSC «Admiralty Shipyards» Alexander BUZAKOV was handed over a Recognition certificate of Governor of Saint-Petersburg for invaluable contribution in development of Saint-Petersburg industry. In the action, which took place the day before the special event in sports–concert complex «Ice palace» participated the governor of Saint-Petersburg Georgiy Poltavchenko, the chairman of Legislative Assembly Vyacheslav Makarov, the chairman of Committee for industrial policy and innovations of Saint-Petersburg Maxim Makesin.
The representatives of the city industrial enterprises were present in the hall. «First of all Saint-Petersburg is a city-worker, a leading scientific and industrial center of Russia. Even during hard times our enterprises expanded the production and they are secure footholds for the economy of Saint-Petersburg, while their employees are justifiably considered to be the upper crust of our city», – denoted Georgiy Poltavchenko. The governor thanked the managers and the employees of Saint-Petersburg industrial enterprises for their contribution to development of the city and handed over the state decorations and Recognition certificates to the best representatives of the industry.
– I appreciate this award not only as a high estimate of the merits of the stuff members but also as a high responsibility to keep the Admiralty’s standards high! – emphasized Alexander Buzakov after receipt of the Recognition certificate of Governor.
It is symbolic that the Day of Saint-Petersburg industry is celebrated on the Tenth of September. On that particular day in 1704, Peter the Great shifted to the first general-governor of Saint-Petersburg Alexander Menshikov his own general layout – the drawing of Admiralty Shipyards, the first industrial enterprise of the city, which became the starting point in development of Saint-Petersburg industry.
