JSC “ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS” SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED SEA TRIALS OF LARGE TRAWLER FREEZER “MECHANIC MASLAK”

JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” successfully completed the sea trials of large fishing freezer trawler “Mechanic Maslak” of project ST-192, the second in series being constructed for LLC “Russian Fishery Company”. The sea trials were performed in the ranges near island Gotland island in the Gulf of Finland from December 15th till December 22nd. The shipyard delivery crew proved the ship design speed and manoeuvrability characteristics, performed main engine modes testing as well as tested the navigation, ranging and communication equipment. Large trawler freezer “Mechanic Maslak” successfully operated in unmanned mode. Also the crew performed refrigeration of vessel cargo holds down to -28С within the process of freezing plant testing. In the beginning of January 2023 large trawler freezer “Mechanic Maslak” is scheduled for docking at the Kanonersky ship repairing facility where the vessel shall undergo the defect survey and recovery of the painting of bottom part of the vessel. The contract for construction of large fishing freezer trawlers for LLC “Russian Fishery Company” was signed in October of 2017 under the government-sponsored investment ratio program. In July present year RF President Vladimir Putin was present at the ceremony of flag hoisting for the first ship in the series - large fishing freezer trawler “Captain Vdovichenko”. Today the fishing trials are being performed for stated trawler in the area of North Kurils. Date of scheduled completion - third decade of December. At present JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” proceeds the dynamic construction of the third and the fourth trawlers in the series – “Mechanic Sizov” and “Captain Martynov” correspondingly. Main characteristics of large fishing freezer trawler of project ST-192: cargo holds capacity – 5500 m3; length — 108 m; breadth — 21 m; sea endurance by fuel load – 45 days; crew – 139 persons, including fishmeal factory personnel; full sea speed – 15 knots.
