JSC “ADMIRALTY SHIPYARDS LAUNCHED LARGE REFRIGERATOR TRAWLER IN PRESENCE OF PRESIDENT OF RUSSIAN FEDERATION

At JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” took place the ceremony of launching of third large refrigerator trawler “Mechanic Sizov” of project СТ-192. The special event was hold in presence of President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The general director of JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” Alexander Buzakov congratulated all participants of the solemn ceremony and emphasized symbolic character of the event.
– Launching of fish trawler “Mechanic Sizov” will become particularly memorable for everyone because it happens on the Russian Navy Day. I would like to commemorate that the third vessel of the series is launched with large state readiness in comparison with first two vessels, – stated Alexander Buzakov. – It is thanks to the advantages, which are reached specifically during serial production.

In his report to President of Russian Vladimir Putin, which directed the launching ceremony from the aquatic area of the Neva, Аlexander Buzakov qualified construction of the series of large refrigerator trawlers as a state task. According to the general director of the enterprise the realization of stated project will allow to make a great contribution in reconstruction of Russian civil fleet.

Addressing to Vladimir Putin, the chairman of supervisory board of JSC “Russian Fishery” Gleb Frank stated that the trawler “Mechanic Sizov” is unrivalled as well as all vessels of the series.
– The large refrigerator fish trawlers have high productivity, they are ecologically acceptable, comfortable for fishermen and very effective, – assured Gleb Frank. – A priority is placed to processing at sea because only it will provide high productivity and development in the sector.

The contract for construction of ten large refrigerator fish trawlers for JSC “Russian Fishery” was signed in October of 2017 within the frame of state program of investment quotas.

The series is laid down pairwise, two vessels per year. The first trawler “Capitan Vdovichenko” was launched in March of 2020. At present the mooring trials onboard the vessel are in progress. The second vessel of the series “Mechanik Maslak” was launched in June of last year. Presently the following outfitting works are under way onboard the trawler: cable tightening, laying of platings of deep-freeze holds, metallized coating of deck external parts. The fish plant equipment is being loaded onboard the vessel. The fabrication of the hull of fourth trawler “Capitan Martynov” is completed, which was laid down in June of 2020. The loading of main equipment into engine room of the vessel was finished. Installation of propeller-rudder system and painting of outer shell plating are being completed. Active preparation of the trawler for its launching is under way. The fifth large refrigerator fish trawler “Capitan Unak” was laid down on 5 June of current year. Presently forming of the vessel hull on the stock is in progress.

The large refrigerator fish trawlers of project СТ-192 are designed for fishing for pollock and herring by means of pelagic trawl on the eastern coast of Russian Federation - in Barents Sea and Sea of Okhotsk. The capacities of fish processing plant and fish meal plant allow to produce daily 60-80 tons of boneless fish, 80 tons of surimi and 250 tons of fish meal. Thanks to the opportunity to conduct fishing in remote areas, the new vessels shall promote consolidation of position of Russian fishing fleet in world’s ocean.

The main characteristics of large refrigerator trawler of project СТ-192: capacity of cargo holds – 5500 m3; length — 108 m; breath — 21 m; fuel endurance – 45 days; ship’s crew – 139 persons, including personnel of fish-processing complex; full speed – 15 knots.
