TRAINING CENTER

The training center has accumulated significant scientific, technical and training potential. Our center together with the State Marine Technical University participates in the regional-industrial program No. 1585 set up by the Government of Saint Petersburg on 21 September 2004 for education and training of specialists for shipbuilding. In cooperation with “Proteus” training and research center our center takes part in many Russian and international initiatives and programs thus providing employees of our shipyard with advanced training and development of the management reserve of the company at the highest level and at minimal costs.

We know that comprehensive automation of design and production is not an end in itself but is a means for achieving a global strategic objective – production of really competitive ships and vessels of world level. TRIBON system (an international system with centers of competence in Sweden , England and other countries) has become the information kernel for our system of comprehensive automation. In this system, one of a few systems, it has become possible to develop a really integrated shipbuilding CAD/CAM/CAE system. Later on software packages for production were purchased including Pro/ENGINEER and widespread office packages.

Now our center is an organization providing intensive, highly efficient courses of advanced training of specialists on the basis of the state-of-the-art information technologies.
