JSC “Admiralty Shipyards”, on the basis of the design developed by the Central Design Bureau of Marine Engineering “Rubin”, are prepared to build a non-nuclear submarine of the 4th generation AMUR-1650.
In the new submarine design the designer has successfully resolved problems of improving performance characteristics of non-nuclear submarines of the previous, 3rd generation.
As a result, AMUR-1650 submarine has acquired the ability to launch missile salvos aimed at surface targets, both single and multiple targets.
In addition:
- acoustic signature of the submarine has been considerably reduced several times in comparison with submarines of the previous generations;
- radio-electronic equipment of the new generation has been provided on the state-of-the-art element base;
- an integrated system has been provided for automatic control of the submarine and her combat and technical means;
- an all-mode propulsion electric motor of the new design will be installed;
- a storage battery with increase service life will be installed.
To ensure construction of the new submarine JSC “Admiralty Shipyards” have introduced new production and technological procedures:
- a section has been equipped for production of non-penetrating devices and masts;
- technology has been developed and mastered for installation of a quasi-conformal (abutting to the hull of the submarine) antenna of “LIRA” sonar system;
- technology has been introduced for application of the anti-sonar coating of the new generation “Molniya” (“Lightning”).
